Mobile Batch Grain Drier – Drying Phase
The drying phase of the batch cycle is dependent on many factors including, atmospheric conditions, grain drier design and specification and grain drier operation. These variables all influence the moisture extraction rate from a crop.
For the Mecmar S55 the moisture extraction rate from our control crop is 4.5% per hour at 100°C. Therefore, when drying in average UK summertime conditions (no jokes please), with the Mecmar S55 grain drier, operated at optimum efficiency the drying phase would be expected to last approximatly 45 minutes.
